Stepista 1.x
1.0.5 is the last 1.x release. It stays here for people who already make music with it. It gets no updates and no support.
Still on 1.x? Until 13 November, Stepista 2 is €44 instead of €59 for 1.x users: see the upgrade page.
Before you install
If Stepista 2 is installed on this computer, installing 1.0.5 replaces it: it's the same plugin in your DAW. A Stepista 2 licence stays on your computer and works again when you reinstall Stepista 2.
Stepista 2 is the current version, a new paid release that can learn from your own clips. You can try it before you buy: see Stepista 2.
Download 1.0.5
- macOS 11 or later, Apple silicon or Intel. Quit your DAW. If Stepista 2 is installed, remove it first: in Finder choose Go → Go to Folder…, open /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3 and move Stepista.vst3 to the Trash, then do the same with Stepista.component in /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components (macOS asks for your password). Then open the .pkg installer. If macOS says it can't verify the installer, close the message with Done or OK (not Move to Trash). Then open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down to Security, click Open Anyway and confirm with your Mac password. The button only shows for about an hour after you try to open the installer; on macOS 12 or earlier it's in System Preferences → Security & Privacy → General.
- Windows 64-bit, with the Microsoft Edge WebView2 runtime (pre-installed on Windows 11 and most Windows 10 PCs). Quit your DAW, unzip the download and follow its INSTALL.txt: delete any existing Stepista.vst3 from C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\ and copy the new one in its place.
